‘Tis the Season to Travel Smart

Like Santa and his elves, LAS is busy! Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and pack a little extra patience this holiday season.

Be Prepared

  • Arrive Early: Plan to arrive at least two hours before your scheduled departure.

  • Expect Roadway Delays: Be prepared for delays on airport roadways, especially at the departures curb and passenger pickup.

  • Food and Beverage Demand: With more travelers, expect longer wait times for dining options. For information on concession availability, hours, and locations, visit www.HarryReidAirport.com/Relax.

Security Checkpoint Tips

  • Traveling with Gifts: Wrapped gifts are allowed, but it’s best to either leave them unwrapped until you reach your destination or use gift bags in case inspection is required.

  • TSA Policies: Review the latest TSA guidelines at TSA.gov. Connect with @AskTSA on X or Facebook Messenger for specific questions.

  • Children Travelers and Special Assistance: Generally, only ticketed passengers can pass through security. If you need to meet an unaccompanied minor or assist a traveler with special needs, visit your airline’s ticket counter for authorization and allow for extra time.
